Certified Organic Seed Potatoes
Shipping and pick-up begins the first week of February 2021.
All our Seed Potatoes are State Certified. Certified Seed is the best way to insure you have the highest quality seed for this important crop. The certification process includes biotechnical examination and strict inspections by qualified authorities to guarantee the quality of the seed.
We strongly recommend ordering early to ensure you will get the varieties you most want to grow. Supplies of many varieties are expected to sell out, especially for Certified Organic varieties. Traditional potato seed growing regions are increasingly challenged to manage aphids, and the diseases they spread, with the limited pest management options associated with organic production.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to call us at 828-900-9099. You can also email email@example.com and we will respond within 24 hours.
We will ship Seed Potatoes beginning February 1st to farms that are ready to plant. Orders are scheduled to ship as soon as weather permits (low temp 40 degrees or higher along the route and at your location). Our last ship date will be the week of March 15th as we need to transition our packing facility to prep for Spring planting of our own.To learn more about growing potatoes, Download our Seed Potato Planting & Growing Guide!
"Potato is the third most important food crop in the world after rice and wheat in terms of human consumption. More than a billion people worldwide eat potato, and global total crop production exceeds 300 million metric tons. Potato is a critical crop in terms of food security in the face of population growth and increased hunger rates. For example, China, the world's biggest consumer of potatoes, expects that fully 50% of the increased food production it will need to meet demand in the next 20 years will come from potatoes."
